A respite from the frigid temperatures in Park City, The Greenhouse Actors Lodge is a retreat for actors, celebrities, filmmakers, musicians, and tastemakers in town for Sundance. A one-minute walk from Main Street, The Greenhouse Actors Lodge is located in the largest luxury home in the downtown area. Activities throughout the week include press events, cast dinners, and exclusive parties produced by Greenhouse, UG Strategies, and New York’s BMF Media Group, all hosted by a who’s who of celebrities in collaboration with major film studios, talent agencies, and brands. Event highlights include the Skintimate Screening Series to support women in film, and Interface Foundation’s lunch to support the achievement of the Millennium Development goals, which includes eradicating world hunger, as well as several other high-profile events.

A long time ago, in a Cineplex not too far away, one of the greatest movies was unleashed upon the universe. It’s a dark time for the rebellion but the future has never been brighter for “Family Guy” and Star Wars fans when Family Guy: Something, Something, Something, Darkside arrives exclusively on two-disc Blu-ray (BD) with Digital Copy and DVD December 22 from Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment. The second DVD premiere feature from the creators of “Family Guy” after 2005’s enormously popular Stewie Griffin: The Untold Story, and a follow-up to the 2008 Star Wars spoof “Blue Harvest,” this time around the Griffin clan packs light saber sharp wit as they parody the classic sequel The Empire Strikes Back.  Luke (Chris), Leia (Lois), Han Solo (Peter) and Chewbacca (Brian) have evaded the dreaded Imperial Starfleet led by the cunning, conniving and curiously short evil lord Darth Vader (Stewie), setting up a new secret base on the remote ice world of Hoth.  With the rebellion in trouble, young Skywalker must take the advice of his late, and rather lascivious, mentor Obi-Wan Kenobi (Herbert) and learn the ways of the “farce” under Jedi Master Yoda (Carl) to save the galaxy once and for all.

In conjunction with the New York performance biennial Performa 09, MoMA’s Performance Exhibition Series presents Between Worlds (2009), an evening-length work by New York artists Fischerspooner, on Sunday November 1, 2009.

Between Worlds, a pop spectacle developed in support of Fischerspooner’s 2009 album “Entertainment,” runs continuously over the course of three hours, with no clear beginning or end, on a large central stage that allows the audience to view the piece from all sides.

Outfitted exclusively in ASICS product including sneakers, knee pads, and vests, and with source material provided by The Wooster Group with inspirations from Japanese theater, this “athletic couture” performance continues Fischerspooner’s interest in exploring the spaces between art and entertainment, reality and fiction, intentions and mistakes.

GET WET was a massive pool party on Saturday during the day, featuring throwdown acts like the Presets, Tommie Sunshine, Frankie Chan, Hollywood Holt, Knightlife, The Whip from Manchester, and more.

Saturday’s daytime party could not have gone better. Some big name celebrities showed face like Denis “The Worm” Rodman himself. We had product giveaways from Onitsuka Tiger and Cardboard Robot, Rhythm Liqueur, and a bunch more. After this all-day rager, UG headed over to Rok Bar to continue the party…

With stellar performances by Cut Copy, Tommie Sunshine, Juan MaClean,The Whip, Knightlife, and the Presets this was one of the best parties of WMC hands down. Not to mention the Onitsuka Tiger Gifting Lounge that was set up in the Presidential Suite at the Gansevoort, all day and night Friday and Saturday, to style-out A-list celebrities all weekend.
